Red Carpet Fashion at The Oscars 2010
The return of glamour and true elegance was at the heart of the 82nd Academy awards. Floor length gowns in gold, whites, iridescent pink and soft shades of blue cemented the role of the Oscar ceremony yet again, as the crown jewel of tinsel tow' award's season.

The Ladies:
- Vera Farmiga in Marchesa. The best of the bunch; this statement piece is dressed to perfection with subtle jewellery, soft hair and make up
- Kate Winslet inYves Saint Laurent: A true star knows that less is more so when one wears a Tiffany & Co $2.5 million yellow diamond necklace, the dress should take second place
- Elizabeth Banks in Versace - effortlessly stylish
- Sandra Bullock in Marchesa - with her red lips and soft makeup she pulled the look of a true Hollywood star to perfection
- Amanda Seyfried in Armani Prive - For a young actress this was a mature choice but she carried it off well
- Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta - age appropriate and dazzling
- Rachel McAdams in Elie Saab - beautiful design but a little bare
- Charlize Theron in Christian Dior Couture - some might say that the desin distract from the dress but I think that looking at the dress as a whole and the beauty that is wearing it works very well
- Demi Moore in Atelier Versace - soft & faminine
- Jennifer Lopez in Armani Prive - elegant & dramatic
- Kristen Stewart in Monique Lhuillier- this midnight blue, silk organza gown suits her image to perfection
- Miley Cyrus in Jenny Packham – this ‘underwear as outerwear’ trend was not age appropriate
- Helen Mirren in Badgley Mishka demure, sophisticated, in truth a real queen.

One might say that all they need is a black suit and a tie but still attention to details is needed in order to pull it off to perfection. And with Tom Ford on the red carpet, it seems that the men took note and puled the black tux look with great success.
