Teenage Cancer Trust Fashion Show, Edinburgh
Exclusive evening on Thursday 20 September at the fantastic new Mexx store on Princes street, Edinburgh in aid of teenage cancer trust.
As many of you will know, when some people undergo chemotherapy, they lose their hair. That's tough to cope with at any age but especially so as a teenager. Teenagers are given acrylic wigs but you can't do much with these wigs. We have heard of a number of instances where the journey from losing hair to acquiring a wig was fairly traumatic.

"Moira, Elaine and Kathleen the three winners in Charlie Taylor Hair and Beauty
5 year younger competition"
Here they are showing off their new outfits styled by Danit Levi of DressYourWay. The three who were guessed to be between 9 and 11 years younger after Danit's makeover, were delighted with the results. Well known as Scottish hairdresser of the year and one of only 24 others to enter the hall of fame Charlie organized the competition and personally restyled the ladies hair. According to a leading psychological journal who studied the effects of retail therapy in both women and men, the belief that women love shopping has proven to be a myth. The study (which took place in the US) shown 67% of the man were successful in finding the items they needed while 83% of the women, who spent more time searching, came out empty handed or with one item that “will do”.

Businessmen and women from across the North-east have attended a lunch on September 29th featuring an inspirational DVD aimed at providing support guidance and information for people diagnosed with breast cancer.
